The YT-ABST Automatic Smoothness Tester is an instrument developed by our company in accordance with GB/T 456 "Determination of smoothness of paper and paperboard (Buick method)". This instrument continues the stability characteristics of our early products.


This instrument adopts the design concept of modern mechanical design combined with ergonomics, and utilizes microcomputer processing technology, servo control technology, and dual sensor detection technology to overcome the shortcomings of domestic instruments: the impact damage of heavy weights or heavy weight lever mechanisms on the sample; The spring fatigue of the spring pressure mechanism causes inaccurate pressure and the thickness of the sample causes pressure changes. Implemented one click fully automatic testing, reducing the labor intensity of users.


【 Vacuum pumping upper limit 】: The upper limit value of the vacuum pump during testing. In fact, due to the internal pressure of the volume not reaching equilibrium during the operation of the vacuum pump, the actual vacuum pressure will be slightly higher than the set value. The setting basis is that in standard mode, the vacuum pressure after the vacuum pump stops working during testing is slightly greater than 53kPa (suitable range: 53kPa-55kPa).


testing procedure


1. The cutting of samples shall be carried out according to GB/T 450, with each sample cut into 60mm × 60mm specification. The sample should be flat and free from creases, cracks, and other paper defects. It should be subjected to temperature and humidity treatment and tested under the same atmospheric conditions.


2. Place the tested sample on the lower measuring head (note: the tested surface is facing downwards), and select the test surface, mode, and gear on the standby interface.


3. Press the start button, the upper measuring head will automatically descend until the downward pressure stops at 100kPa;


4. Entering the preloading interface, the vacuum pump begins to vacuum several tens of seconds later, and the display screen displays the actual vacuum value of the current system in real time. When the vacuum reaches the upper limit, the vacuum pump stops working and begins preloading. When the vacuum drops to 50.66kPa, it enters the formal testing state and displays the current system vacuum level and time in real time.


5. After the test is completed, the test results will be displayed in the upper left corner of the standby interface.


6. Multiple testing steps, replacing the sample, repeating the testing steps, can memorize up to 20 measurement data. When the data exceeds 20 times, only the last 20 measurement data will be saved. When there are more than 3 tests, display the statistical data in the statistical table.


7. Three or more samples can display the number of samples, maximum value, minimum value, average value, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation. Press the print button to print the results.
