Precautions for operation of Horizontal Tensile Tester

20-09-2023

Horizontal Tensile Tester is a testing instrument developed by our company in accordance with the new national standards. This instrument adopts a unique vertical design, which has the characteristics of compact structure, complete functions, and convenient operation. The instrument adopts advanced components, supporting components, and single chip microcomputers both domestically and internationally for reasonable construction and multifunctional design.

Common Button Analysis

Reduction ratio: Whether the sample has broken to the maximum peak value does not affect the accuracy of the value, which is generally set at 50%. If the peak value is 100N and the force value decreases from 100N to 50N, the sample will break.

Clamping distance: (same as the sample length) The standard is 180mm, set as needed.

Sample width: standard 15mm, optional 25mm.

Sample thickness: affects the calculation of elastic modulus.

Starting force: Tensile test mode: Calculate elongation after reaching the starting force.

In the peeling test mode, the peeling length is calculated after reaching the force value.

In compression test mode, the deformation is recorded after reaching the initial force.

Starting to ignore length: The peeling length that does not participate in the calculation after reaching the starting force is specified as 25mm by the standard.

Effective peel length: The peel length that is calculated after the length is ignored, as specified by the standard at 50mm.

Fallback distance: In the wet tensile test, in order to automatically soak, the sample relaxes and falls into the water tank.

Soaking time: In the wet tensile test, the soaking time of the sample. When set to 0, fallback is invalid.

Operation process

1. When the right collet is suspended, the zero force value should be displayed as ± 0.05% of the measured maximum force value. If it exceeds the limit, press the 【 Zero Adjustment 】 key to adjust it to zero.

2. Set the corresponding parameters.

Cut the sample with a standard paper cutter, with a standard width of 15mm ± 0.1mm and a length of approximately 250mm.

3. Fix the sample on the right clamp (lightly tighten the butterfly screw for easy adjustment), then fix it on the left clamp, adjust the sample to be parallel to the two clamp edges (without wrinkles), and then tighten the left and right clamps. If conducting a wet tensile test, place a water tank filled with water 1-2 mm below the sample from the fixed clamp (right clamp). Click the start button to start the test.

4. Test completed, add new data to the standby interface list. Automatically calculate standard deviation and coefficient of variation when the data exceeds 3 times. Users can perform operations such as deletion and printing.
